Germany has concluded a recent tender for innovative renewable energy projects. The exercise drew 158 bids with a total capacity of 2,020 MW. The authorities awarded 29 projects with a total capacity of 486 MW. All selected projects were for PV plants combined with energy storage.

In a social media post, Czepek said that more than 300,000 solar power plants are operating across the nation, with over four-fifths of the existing capacity installed since 2020.
