[pdf] The Republic of Moldova will install a 75 MW energy storage system (BESS) and 22 MW internal combustion engines as part of a project funded by the U.S. Government through USAID. The Ministry of Energy has announced that a tender has been launched for this purpose.

Studies are being conducted on geothermal energy, and a project is being developed to convert waste into biofuel for cement production. In addition to large-scale projects, smaller renewable energy efforts are underway.
