Endesa, through its renewable energy subsidiary Enel Green Power España (EGPE), has begun construction of its second solar farm in Andorra. This new project, called the Mudéjar photovoltaic plant, will have a capacity of 69.2 MWp and an investment of 48.5 million euros.
[pdf] The project, considered the world's largest solar-storage project, will install 3.5GW of solar photovoltaic capacity and a 4.5GWh battery storage system. The project has commenced in November 2024.
[pdf] In the first six months of 2025, Norway added 49 MW of new solar capacity, according to the latest statistics from the Norwegian Water and Energy Directorate (NVE). This marks a notable slowdown compared to the 114 MW added in the same period the previous year.
